Mel Tucker was a guest on The Jim Rome Show on Friday afternoon, where he discussed how he’s building up his program’s culture as the new Spartans’ head coach.
“When you think of Michigan State football you should think about a brand of ball that is reflective of how the game is meant to be played,” Tucker said on The Jim Rome Show. “It’s a physical game, it’s the ultimate team sport. You want to see an unselfish football team that’s playing for each other, that has great energy, that doesn’t beat itself.”
Tucker was hired to replace Mark Dantonio in February and will make his Michigan State debut on Oct. 24 against Rutgers at Spartan Stadium.
