The 2022 recruiting class is getting into the mix with a large number of players across the country already pledging their commitment. The Texas class has just two commitments with Armani Winfield (WR) and Jaylon Guilbeau (CB).

With Stan Drayton returning to the Forty Acres as one of the few holdovers from the previous staff, the Longhorns have an edge at running back. In 2020 they signed Bijan Robinson, who was the No. 1 running back in the country out of Arizona. This class could see Jaydon Blue as the priority target at running back.
Blue is the No. 4 back in the country and No. 11 in the state of Texas. The Longhorns are right in the mix for his commitment.
