It took a little longer than expected to find out who would be the Detroit Lions’ top draft pick. After trading back from No. 6 overall to No. 12 in a trade with the Arizona Cardinals, the Lions select Alabama RB Jahmyr Gibbs.
It’s a surprising pick from Lions GM Brad Holmes. Gibbs joins a backfield that includes free agent signee David Montgomery and holdover D’Andre Swift.
