Lions scouts take in prospects in the Auburn vs. Tennessee matchup

The Lions won a lottery to get scouts at the game

It’s a strange season all around in college football. Even NFL teams struggle to get credentialed access to live games. Most press boxes and stadiums feature a lottery for NFL teams hoping to scout players in person.

The Lions won one such lottery on Saturday. Detroit had a scout in attendance for the SEC matchup between the Auburn Tigers and Tennessee Volunteers.

Among the players meriting draft attention in the matchup:

  • Tennessee OL Trey Smith
  • Auburn WR Seth Williams
  • Auburn WR Anthony Schwartz
  • Auburn CB Roger McCreary

The Lions also had won access to the Clemson/Florida State game, but that contest was postponed due to a COVID-19 outbreak with the Tigers.
