The Lions downed the Chargers on a last-second field goal

The Lions converted, ate up the rest of the clock and then had Riley Patterson kick a 41-yard field goal on Sunday at SoFi to down the Chargers, 41-38.

It was a wild game that saw each team score in every quarter.

Jared Goff threw for 333 yards and a pair of TDs. Chargers QB Justin Herbert went for 323 yards and 4 TDs.

David Montgomery of the Lions had 116 yards rushing, including a 75-yard touchdown run, which was the longest by a Detroit player since 2011.

The Lions improve to 7-2 while the Chargers sink to 4-5.
