The Detroit Lions lost another defensive player due to injury late in the Thanksgiving Day loss to the Buffalo Bills. Starting cornerback Jerry Jacobs left the game after hitting his helmet on the Ford Field turf while attempting to make a tackle.
While no official diagnosis came during the game, it was confirmed after the game that Jacobs was placed in the NFL’s concussion protocol.
Detroit is off for the rest of the weekend before reconvening at the team’s facility in Allen Park on Monday. Jacobs’ status will get reevaluated after the extra time off.
