Lionel Messi is pretty good at this soccer thing, isn’t he?
After scoring his first-ever MLS goal in the most dramatic fashion — a late-game free kick that lifted Inter Miami over Cruz Azul 2-1 in the Leagues Cup — Messi was back at it again on Tuesday night. Against Atlanta United in group play of the Leagues Cup, Messi scored not once, but twice in the opening 20 minutes of the match.
For his first goal of the night, just eight minutes into the match, Messi took a long pass downfield and was able to tap in his own rebound off the post for the 1-0 tally.
HE’S DONE IT AGAIN.

Then mere minutes later, Messi scored his second of the night on another absolute stunner as Atlanta United left him completely unguarded in the middle of the field.

It really does seem too easy for Messi out there. So much so that soccer fans couldn’t help but joke that he was too good for MLS play after scoring two early goals.
