Lionel Messi had a field day on Sunday, scoring five goals for Argentina against Estonia in a 5-0 friendly win.
Messi opened the scoring with an eighth-minute penalty, then scored his second just before halftime. After the break the PSG star netted three more times to cap off a sensational display.
The goals took Messi to 86 career Argentina goals, surpassing Hungary great Ferenc Puskás on the list of the top all-time international men’s top scorers.
Messi is now fourth on the list, three goals behind Malaysia great Mokhtar Dahari. Iran’s Ali Daei (109) is second and Portugal’s Cristiano Ronaldo is first with 117 goals.
It was the second time in Messi’s career that he scored five goals in a game, having previously done so with Barcelona in a 7-1 Champions League win over Bayer Leverkusen in 2012.
