With the recruitment of tight end Duce Robinson still awaiting final resolution, and with USC’s other skill position groups already being set, it is a source of intrigue for some Trojan fans: Can Lincoln Riley get even more mileage out of his offense by using his tight ends more prominently?
The receivers are elite. The running back room is deep. The quarterback is the defending Heisman Trophy winner. USC had Travis Dye and Jordan Addison running roughshod over opposing defenses last season.
Why can’t the Trojans get their tight ends to be similarly dynamic?
Maybe Duce Robinson is needed to achieve this, but the larger question of Lincoln Riley’s tight end usage deserves some exploration. We did just that when we discussed the topic with Mark Rogers at The Voice of College Football.
