LiAngelo Ball has been offered a contract to play in the G League

LiAngelo Ball, the middle brother of Lonzo and LaMelo, is expected to soon suit in the G League after receiving a contract.

LiAngelo Ball has been reportedly sent an NBA G League contract and the 21-year-old is expected to sign soon, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic.

Ball, the middle brother of Lonzo and LaMelo, joined the Oklahoma City Blue, the G League affiliate of the Thunder, in December as a practice player and has been working out with the team since then. Ball could join the Blue upon signing his G League contract.

Ball originally committed to play collegiately at UCLA but eventually withdrew in December 2017 after his role in a shoplifting incident with the school in China. He played alongside LaMelo in Lithuania for one season and also played in the now-defunct Junior Basketball Association.

The G League regular season concludes on March 28 and the final stretch could give a prospective organization an opportunity to see Ball back on the court.

Ball went undrafted in the 2018 NBA Draft but garnered enough interest from various teams for a workout, including the Los Angeles Lakers, which employed his brother, Lonzo, at the time.

In addition to adding Ball as a practice player with the Blue, the Thunder also registered interest with Ball after interviewing him at the 2018 Pro Basketball Combine.
