Heading into a critical year, Lewis Cine needed a great training camp. Instead, the team has not yet cleared him for practice.

Heading into a critical year, Lewis Cine needed a great training camp. Instead, the team has not yet cleared him for practice. It has resulted in most fans and media accepting that Cine will be playing somewhere else in 2024.

The former first-round pick has struggled since being drafted by the team in 2022. General Manager Kwesi Adofo-Mensah included him in his first draft class, and he has proven to be one of the worst picks of his tenure.

Cine has played in just nine games in his two-year career due to injury and now has yet to participate in training camp due to a lingering foot injury.

The former Georgia Bulldog needs to change his best trait to availability. He hasn’t been available for the Vikings during a critical offseason and training camp and it is hard to imagine they have much patience left.

Whether it be a trade for a late draft pick in a future draft or simply cutting him, it may be the end of the road for him in Minnesota.
