Week 1 has already kicked off, but Saturday is the day of college football with ESPN’s College GameDay back together with Lee Corso back on the scene after taking the Week 0 show-off.
Corso is one of the most recognizable names in college football and continues to entertain fans year after year. On Saturday morning show, Corso made his picks for the College Football Playoff, selecting a solid group, though the Tigers’ didn’t make the cut.
“Georgia because they have the best roster in the country, and they have a schedule that is pretty good, I think,” said Corso. “And Michigan. Michigan has the team to make the playoffs. The problem with Michigan is they play Penn State and Ohio State in November. Then USC. USC has a ton of athletes and Caleb Williams. Then Texas. Georgia and USC. USC wins it,”
These four schools making the CFP are definitely in the realm of possibility. Corso taking USC isn’t necessarily a bold move, but in my eyes, it is. USC’s defense is suspect as they typically are, and I don’t see that defense being strong enough to compete in a national championship game.
I guess we’ll have to wait and see!
