LeBron’s 10 points in Game 2 were his lowest ever in a playoff win

Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James didn’t need to do much to help the Lakers to a playoff win.

Thanks to the play of Anthony Davis, as well as some timely shooting from Kentavious Caldwell-Pope throughout the night and excellent defense on the Portland Trail Blazers, the Los Angeles Lakers were able to win comfortably in Thursday’s Game 2 with LeBron James scoring only 10 points on just 11 field goal attempts.

LeBron had never scored so few points before in a playoff win before and it was the third-lowest scoring total from LeBron ever in a win period. Davis led all scorers in Game 2 with 31 points to go with 11 rebounds and guard Kentavious Caldwell-Pope had 16 points, making up for a goose egg in Game 1.

While Davis was the scoring star for the Lakers last night, their biggest star through the first two games has been their team defense. After holding Portland to just 100 points in Game 1, they followed that up with better performance, holding them to just 88 points and a 39 point first half. Damian Lillard’s 18 points in Game 2 were his lowest-scoring output of the bubble so far.
