LeBron offers update on his self isolation: ‘I’m lookin like Tom Hanks off ‘Cast Away”

“The struggle is real in the James household right now.”

Following the news that four players — including Kevin Durant — on the Brooklyn Nets tested positive for COVID-19, the disease caused by the coronavirus, the majority of the Lakers players received their own testing on Wednesday.

The Lakers were the Nets’ last opponent before the NBA season was suspended indefinitely in an effort to limit the spread of the virus. And while it wasn’t revealed who specifically on the Lakers was tested this week, LeBron James shared an Instagram Story on Wednesday about him being in self isolation (without disclosing any test results).

LeBron said that he was instructed to remain in quarantine for 14 days in the social media update.

LeBron described the mood as his wife, Savannah, removed her braids with kitchen shears:

“When they advise you to be quarantined for 14 days and isolated from nobody, can’t even get a haircut from my barber. They want me to stay away from him. I’m lookin like Tom Hanks off ‘Cast Away.’ She can’t even go and get her hair done, so she just gonna cut ’em out herself. Little Whoopi Goldberg over here. The struggle is real in the James household right now.”

Hey, at least he seemed to be in good spirits.

It could be quite the wait for that haircut. He might have a James Harden beard by the time the NBA season comes back.
