LeBron James and Team LeBron capped off a beautiful All-Star Weekend in Chicago on Sunday night with 157-155 win over Team Giannis in a very intense untimed fourth quarter. As part of the weekend’s many tributes to Kobe Bryant, the All-Star Game featured an adaptive version of the Elam Ending, adding 24 points to the leading team’s score after three quarters to have a target score. In addition to the special ending in Kobe’s honor, Team Giannis wore No. 24 and Team LeBron wore No. 2, in honor of Kobe’s daughter Gigi. With all of those factors, it was impossible to miss Kobe’s presence in the building, according to LeBron.

James has said it a few times before but the NBA’s remembrance of Kobe will continue beyond this weekend. With Lakers fans spread all over the country, the honoring of Kobe Bryant will follow the Lakers all season long to every arena they go to. Last night was another chapter in that process.
