LeBron James writes letter on social media to Kobe: ‘I hope I made you proud’

Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James was still thinking about Kobe Bryant a few days after wining the championship.

The loss of Kobe Bryant and the impact his tragic passing had on the Los Angeles Lakers this season and beyond is still taking shape. With that in mind, it should be no surprise that even a couple of days after winning his 4th championship, Kobe Bryant was still on the mind of Lakers star and leader LeBron James.

Late on Wednesday night, perhaps while enjoying a little bit of wine and watching “The Last Dance,” LeBron wrote a heartfelt note with a photo edit featuring LeBron holding one of the “Black Mamba” edition jerseys, which bear Bryant’s name and were designed by the late Lakers legend.

LeBron had become closer with Kobe in recent years, but LeBron has recently said that he’s regretted not being able to spend more time with Kobe before the tragic helicopter crash took him, his daughter Gianna and seven others back in January.
