The Los Angeles Lakers’ 2023-24 exhibition season continues on Wednesday evening when they take on the Sacramento Kings in Anaheim, Calif.
The Lakers are coming off a 129-126 win on Monday over the Brooklyn Nets in which they, at times, looked impressive offensively. They shot better than 40% from 3-point range in the first and third quarters, and for the game, they put up a gargantuan 55 3-point attempts, making 20 of them.
They will have some things to clean up, especially on the defensive end, before they’re ready for their regular-season opener on Oct. 24 against the defending NBA champion Denver Nuggets. However, LeBron James will not be on the court on Wednesday to help Los Angeles with that objective.

The Lakers want to reduce James’ workload more than ever, and part of that means holding him out of at least a couple of preseason games. He has said he wants to play in at least half of their six preseason games this year.
