In December, the season started to go from bad to worse for the Los Angeles Lakers.
Their injury and health problems were starting to compound, and by losing five of six games late in the month, they fell under .500.
With Anthony Davis rehabbing from a sprained MCL, LeBron James went into overdrive trying to keep his team afloat, and on New Year’s Eve, he went into God mode.
That night, the Lakers hosted the Portland Trail Blazers, a team that was having a dismal season. James rolled up 43 points on 16-of-26 shooting and 5-of-10 from 3-point land, 14 rebounds, four assists, two steals and two blocked shots.
For one of the few times all season, the Lakers looked impressive, as they routed Portland, 139-106.

Just one day after turning 37, James once again showed that he is seemingly ageless.
