LeBron James supports Cavs reward in search for justice for Ericka Weems

The Los Angeles Lakers star shouted out his former team for donating a reward of $10,000 for information on the death of Ericka Weems.

LeBron James is a Laker for life now. After helping the storied franchise break a playoff drought of seven years and a championship drought of 10 years, in the same year in which Kobe Bryant tragically passed away, has helped to cement his legacy for every in Lakers lore. But he will also always be linked to Northeast Ohio, his hometown of Akron, and the Cleveland Cavaliers. Over the past week, that connection has been brought up for tragic reasons, but LeBron supported the local Ohio NBA team as they look to bring justice to someone important to James and his circle.

The Cleveland Cavaliers announced on Monday that they will offer a $10,000 reward for information on the killing of Ericka Weems, the sister Brandon Weems, who is currently the Cavaliers Director of Scouting and was also a high school teammate of LeBron James at St. Vincent-St. Mary’s high school in Akron. James showed his support for the Cavs gesture on social media on Monday.
