LeBron James stays No. 2 in Western Conference in second round of NBA All-Star fan voting

Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James now has 4.3 million fan votes for the 2022 NBA All-Star Game, which is good for No. 2 in the West.

The second round of fan voting for the 2022 NBA All-Star game is now live, and Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James retains the top spot in the Western Conference frontcourt.

James now has 4,386,392 votes, which trails only Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry, who has accumulated 4,463,426 votes to lead the conference.

If Curry holds the No. 1 spot for another week, he will be named as one of two captains for the revamped format the NBA introduced four years ago. James has been a captain for every single season, but his reign could soon come to an end if he can’t lap Curry in fan votes.

Elsewhere for the Lakers, Anthony Davis went up to No. 5 with 1,342,294 votes. Carmelo Anthony also climbed the standings, going to No. 7 with 886,014 votes.

In the backcourt, Russell Westbrook jumped to No. 6 with 576,512 votes.

The next round of voting will be revealed on Jan. 20, one week from now. Voting ends on Jan. 22 at midnight EST.
