LeBron James and Anthony Davis led the Lakers to a blowout win in Utah on Wednesday night, and with the game already sealed in the fourth quarter, James removed his shoes and signed them before giving them to two young Lakers fans in the crowd. James spent the rest of the night enthusiastically cheering on the Lakers in his socks – which drew the ire of Utah Jazz commentators.

On a possession late in the game, Kyle Kuzma registered back-to-back blocks on 6-foot-10 Utah center Tony Bradley, and James couldn’t help but creep onto the court while celebrating the play, jumping up and down and waving a towel on the baseline. The Jazz commentary crew was appalled, and called James’ actions disrespectful.
“That’s some disrespect right there. Please. … This isn’t playground ball.”
James responded to the criticism on Instagram, and wrote that he’s not going to let anyone bring him down.
“People it’s the world we live in and you can’t let it ever stop you from your purpose in life. Negativity, bad energy, hate, envy, etc etc will try to bring you down throughout your journey and it’s up to you on how you handle it. I handle it by simply saying “Thank You” with a 😁 on my face and continue to push forward while doing it! LIVE.LAUGH.LOVE”
