After three seasons wearing No. 23 with the Los Angeles Lakers, LeBron James decided to switch back to the number he wore with the Miami Heat.
James, who has worn No. 23 since his high school playing days, decided shortly after the Lakers were eliminated from the playoffs he would change his jersey number to No. 6.
James donned No. 6 during his days with the Heat from 2010 to 2014. In those seasons in Miami, James won two championships and was crowned the NBA Finals MVP both times.
No. 6 is also what James is supposed to wear in “Space Jam: A New Legacy” when it releases on July 16. He’ll represent the Tune Squad in the film.
The switch is a highly anticipated one for a team with title aspirations next season, and new leaked photos provide a glimpse of what the jersey will look like, via Camisas da NBA on Twitter.

Camisas da NBA has been known for leaked photos of team and player jerseys for the last few seasons, and they’ve often been accurate.
If this leak also holds true, it’ll be a sight for Lakers fans to get accustomed to for next season.
