LeBron James hits 36K career points on NBA’s all-time scoring list

Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James got one step closer to becoming the NBA’s all-time leading scorer.

Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James reached 36,000 career points Tuesday, moving one step closer to becoming the NBA’s all-time leading scorer.

James dropped 32 points in the win against the Houston Rockets, which marked his fifth straight 30-point game.

James is 928 points behind Karl Malone, who is second on the list. Lakers legend Kareem Abdul-Jabbar holds the top spot with 38,387 points.

LeBron is currently averaging 27.6 points per game. If he maintains that average for the remaining 47 games this season, he’ll add 1,297 points to his total, which would put him 1,090 points behind Abdul-Jabbar.

Attaining the top spot is certainly within reach for James, but it’ll take at least another season, assuming he stays healthy.
