LeBron James’ frustration with the NBA’s COVID protocol, explained

LeBron’s frustration is understandable, but the league handled his false-positive test correctly.

LeBron James has been in and out of the Lakers’ lineup this season for a myriad of reasons with most of them having to do with injury.

But his latest absence was triggered by a positive COVID-19 test. On Monday, news broke that James tested positive and would miss “several games” due to his positive test. The NBA’s policy requires a mandatory 10-day absence from the team.

But by Friday, James was back in the lineup. Apparently, his initial test was a false positive. But he’d already missed a game for the Lakers when they were trying to catch a rhythm.

This totally explains why he tweeted this earlier this week on Wednesday.

James clearly was not happy with how all this was handled.
