LeBron James could return to Lakers for final week of regular season

The Lakers are hoping LeBron James will return to game action for their last few games of the regular season.

For the last three weeks and change, Los Angeles Lakers fans have been waiting to see how LeBron James recovers from a right foot tendon injury and when he could return to game action.

He spent about two weeks in a walking boot. After it came off, he has spent the last week or so doing multiple workouts each day that head coach Darvin Ham has called intense.

With nine games left in L.A.’s schedule, there is an update for James’ return, although nothing is official.

ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reports the team is hoping the four-time MVP will be able to come back for a few games during the final week of the regular season.

James has been out since Feb. 28, one game after he suffered his right foot injury during a win over the Dallas Mavericks.

The Lakers are in 10th place in the Western Conference. They’re half a game behind the seventh-place Minnesota Timberwolves and v1.5 games behind the Golden State Warriors, who hold the sixth spot.
