It’s hard to have a conversation about anything in the NBA and not have the name of LeBron James come up. Even when it has nothing to do with him, someone will always somehow bring it back to LeBron. On Thursday, it was ESPN’s Jay Williams who did this, but with LeBron James not taking his traditional social media fast during the playoffs, he had time to air out his grievances with what he believed was a cheap shot.
It all started when Williams’ ESPN colleague Richard Jefferson suggested that Milwaukee’s MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo was a “Pippen,” who needed a Jordan. Scottie Pippen, one of the all-time greats, took issue with that on its own but Williams parroted Jefferson’s comment to suggest that LeBron James was also a “Pippen,” alongside Dwyane Wade. With LeBron not involved in the point Jefferson made, he took issue with Williams dragging his name into the discussion.
Explain to me what the fux I gotta do with this subject matter! I’m over here minding my damn business preparing for Houston. And by the way I ain’t never been nobody but my damn self! 👑 Shit!

LeBron has always and will always be compared to other greats that came before him. But he’s a unique and All-Time player all his own, which is probably why he took issue with the stray comment that came at his legacy and career.
