Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James was called for a rare flagrant foul during Wednesday night’s matchup against the Philadelphia 76ers. During the middle of the third quarter of Wednesday night’s game, which featured a lot of back and forth action, as well as very physical play between two of the most physically imposing teams in the league, LeBron James was called for his first flagrant foul since 2014.
On a field goal attempt by Joel Embiid, where he went up in the air and was trying to dunk the ball on the Lakers, LeBron James pushed Embiid and Embiid flew to the floor, awkwardly landing on his back. After a replay review, James was assessed with a Flagrant 1 foul.

But that wasn’t the end of the flagrant play in the quarter with Joel Embiid getting called for a Flagrant 1 foul after delivering an elbow to the face of Lakers star big man Anthony Davis a few possessions later.
