LeBron drops 31, Kuzma with 23 in comeback win at Rockets

The Los Angeles Lakers pushed the Houston Rockets to their third straight loss even though Anthony Davis missed his fifth straight game.

LeBron James had 31 points and Kyle Kuzma had 23 points as the Los Angeles Lakers rallied from an early double-digit deficit to defeat the Houston Rockets in an ABC primetime affair, 124-115.

The Lakers got back in the win column after suffering their first loss to a sub-.500 team back in Wednesday’s loss to the Orlando Magic. Although tonight wasn’t easy, the Lakers made it clear how many more levels better they are than their opponents on Saturday, even though Houston’s backcourt of James Harden and Russell Westbrook combined for 69 points.

LeBron James had 12 assists to go with his 31 points on 13 for 25 shooting as he played a more efficient game than his MVP counterpart James Harden, who was 8 for 20. Thanks to LeBron and Kuzma, as well as 20-point games from Danny Green and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, the Lakers rallied from down 11 points in the second quarter to pull out the win and start their road trip 1-0.

Up next for the Lakers, they head to Boston to face a strong Celtics squad that is currently No. 3 in the Eastern Conference.
