LeBron James brings out the ‘China Moon’ Nike LeBron 7s during second half against Los Angeles Clippers.

LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers dropped a Christmas Day matchup to Kawhi Leonard and the Los Angeles Clippers 111-106 on Wednesday. Along the way, LeBron broke out a pair of iconic sneakers that are expected to re-release in the coming weeks. Heading into the third quarter, James laced up the “China Moon” Nike LeBron 7s that are scheduled to re-release in January for the second half.

The “China Moon” sneakers first dropped in October of 2009. The style and design of the shoe was inspired by the annual Chinese Moon Festival that generally takes place in October. The sneaker is constructed in a white-based upper surrounded by a metallic gold overlay that wraps around the toe and heel. The shoe will be available at SNKRS on January 2 at 10 a.m. ET for a retail price of $200.

LeBron nearly recorded a triple-double during the five-point loss while scoring 23 and dishing out 10 assists and grabbing nine rebounds. He was slowed to a certain extent, however, after taking a shot from Patrick Beverley that tweaked his nagging groin injury. But James did finish the game on the floor and is currently expected to play on Saturday against the Portland Trail Blazers.
