[autotag]Leah McCourt[/autotag] will look to continue her ascent up the featherweight ladder when she meets [autotag]Jessica Borga[/autotag].
McCourt (5-1 MMA, 4-0 BMMA) faces Borga (3-3 MMA, 1-1 BMMA) in the Bellator 267 co-main event, Bellator officials announced Wednesday. Bellator 267 takes place Oct. 1 at The SSE Arena, Wembley in London. The main card airs on Showtime following prelims on MMA Junkie.
Unbeaten in her Bellator tenure, Northern Ireland’s McCourt is coming off a second-round come-from-behind submission of Janay Harding at Bellator 259 in May. Currently No. 5 in Bellator’s featherweight rankings, McCourt will look to make it six straight when she faces Borga.
After scoring a first-round armbar submission of Amber Leibrock in her promotional debut at Bellator 226, Borga went the distance with former title challenger Talita Nogueira at Bellator 256 in April, but dropped a unanimous decision.
