According to Camryn Justice, Cleveland Browns linebacker Tony Fields II suffered an injury in the fourth quarter of Week 1’s game against the Dallas Cowboys and went into the medical tent.
Fields was injured on 1st and 10 with 13:15 remaining in the fourth quarter when he tackled Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott on a three-yard rush. Dallas went on to add another field goal later in that drive, extending their lead to 33-10 in Cleveland. He was later officially ruled out with an ankle injury, per Justice.

Teammate linebacker Mohamoud Diabate left the game and did not return due to a hip injury, so the Browns’ linebacker and special teams depth will be tested in the coming weeks if the two cannot suit up.
Not much has gone right for the Browns in Week 1, as they have struggled to sustain anything on either side of the ball. Tight end David Njoku also left the game earlier with an ankle injury and was listed as questionable to return.
In 2023, Fields saw 234 defensive snaps as a depth linebacker, along with 341 special teams snaps.
