The Arizona Cardinals do not have to disclose injury information in the offseason and it appears that under new head coach Jonathan Gannon injury information will be kept quiet.
Apparently, linebacker Isaiah Simmons finished last season with some sort of issue.
Gannon let the information slip.
He was talking about Simmons and about the role he might have on defense and indicated there was a health issue.
“Really good communication with Isaiah,” he said. “I know he got good news about his health,”
That was news.
He played in every game last season and missed only two snaps in the team’s final game of the season.
Gannon did not say what the issue was but did seem to motion with his left hand, almost showing that it was Simmons’ right arm or shoulder.
However, at least it was good news that Simmons received. Perhaps it was news that he would not need any surgery.
Perhaps we will hear more about it later in the offseason.
For now, it will just be a mystery.
