LaVar Ball says he is unimpressed with the Los Angeles Lakers: ‘I don’t care about them’

Despite nearly a year having passed since Lonzo Ball was traded away from the Lakers, LaVar Ball still holds ill will toward the franchise.

After an unceremonious end to Lonzo Ball’s tenure in Los Angeles, it wouldn’t be a surprise if there were hard feelings. Ball was dangled in trade rumors from seemingly the moment he was drafted by the Lakers before finally being sent to New Orleans for Anthony Davis.

LaVar Ball, never one to hide his feelings, voiced his displeasure with the franchise even before Lonzo left. After Lonzo’s departure, LaVar was sure to make his feelings heard. And even though 10 months have passed, the hard feelings haven’t subsided.

In an interview with Heavy, LaVar was asked if he was impressed with LeBron James and Anthony Davis’ play this season in which he offered a strong rebuttal.

“Am I impressed? No. I’m only impressed with what my sons are doing. I’m not worried about anybody else. I don’t care about them. I only care about only what my boys first.”

To be fair to LaVar, with the relaunch of the brand and games for both Lonzo and LaMelo, it would likely be hard to keep up with the Lakers. But Ball also certainly welcomed the opportunity to throw shade at the franchise that traded away his son.

While Lonzo has stated he holds no ill will toward the Laker franchise, it’s safe to say LaVar is a long way from every sharing those feelings.
