With three straight losses now, Kentucky football is looking at missing a bowl game for the first time in eight seasons. Things came unwound after beating Ole Miss, and they sit at 3 – 5. They have four games to play, with the Tennessee Volunteers and Texas Longhorns both still waiting.
The Wildcats need an extraordinary turn of events to make it to a bowl game this season, but elsewhere in the SEC, chances at a bowl are high. Nearly every team in the conference still has a shot.
USA TODAY Sports updated their bowl projections after week nine, and eleven SEC teams are predicted to make it to a postseason game. Four teams are in the College Football Playoff.

The Georgia Bulldogs lead the way, and they’re predicted to get a bye. Texas, Tennessee, and the Texas A&M Aggies would also be playing for a national championship in this scenario.
The Alabama Crimson Tide are projected to miss the playoff, but play a surprise Indiana team in the Citrus Bowl. Ole Miss also misses the playoff, but would play SMU on January 2nd in the Gator Bowl.
The other SEC teams predicted to make bowl games are Arkansas, South Carolina, Vanderbilt, Missouri, and the LSU Tigers. Things will change with more games to play, but the SEC is looking strong at this point.
