Las Vegas Raiders Super Bowl odds: Can Jon Gruden, Derek Carr propel Silver and Black?

Assessing the midseason Super Bowl futures odds for the Las Vegas Raiders, with a look at their odds to win the AFC West.

The Las Vegas Raiders (4-3) are starting to earn a little respect from the NFL community. They’ve beaten the New Orleans Saints in primetime, they’ve gone to Arrowhead and knocked off the defending Super Bowl champs and the Raiders took down the Cleveland Browns, on the road, in a wind vortex. Las Vegas has proven it can beat good teams but are the Raiders for real?

Below, we analyze the midseason 2020 Las Vegas Raiders Super Bowl odds, their odds of winning the AFC West Division as well as NFL futures and opine on whether they’re worth a Super Bowl futures bet at this time.

The Raiders played so well in the “autumn winds” portion of the calendar that their Super Bowl price grew a little pricier. Before the season started, Las Vegas was at +8000 to win the Super Bowl, but you can currently bet Raiders +5000 to raise the Lombardi Trophy.

At this point in the season, QB Derek Carr is 100% a top-10 quarterback. He has a nice compliment of weapons to help him out: WR Henry Ruggs III can take the top off of defenses, TE Darren Waller is a consistent security blanket for Carr and there’s a lot to like about RB Josh Jacobs even though he’s in a bit of a sophomore slump.

Las Vegas’s defense could use another offseason. It has the second-fewest sacks, is 21st in opponent’s yards per rushing attempt and 30th in opponent’s points per play. This isn’t a defense marred by injury. This is a defense a few pieces away from being on the offense’s level.

Raiders division betting odds

  • Kansas City Chiefs -2500
  • Las Vegas Raiders +1000
  • Denver Broncos +6500
  • Los Angeles Chargers +15000

As far as the AFC West is concerned, it’s all about the Kansas City Chiefs. In fact, as long as the Chiefs have QB Patrick Mahomes and head coach Andy Reid, they will be the runaway favorite to win the division.

Right now, the Raiders have the tiebreaker on the Chiefs after beating them convincingly 40-32 in Kansas City. So, there’s that. With Jon Gruden as head coach, the Raiders have a bright future, but they aren’t winning the division this season.

I “LOVE” RAIDERS -120 to make the playoffs. Las Vegas has played the fourth-toughest schedule to this point, but it has the 25th-toughest remaining schedule and tied for eighth in the AFC standings currently. Also, there are talks about the NFL expanding the playoffs to an 8-team format so that can be another out for cashing RAIDERS -120 to earn a postseason berth.

Raiders futures picks and predictions

NO, there’s no reason to believe they can get past the Chiefs and/or Pittsburgh Steelers (7-0) in the playoffs if they make it that far. The Raiders +5000 isn’t juicy enough to take a chance on a miraculous Las Vegas postseason run.
