The Las Vegas Raiders (3-12) face the New Orleans Saints (5-10) Sunday in NFL Week 17 action. Kickoff from the Caesars Superdome is scheduled for 1 p.m. ET (FOX). Let’s analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s NFL odds around the Raiders vs. Saints odds, and make our expert NFL picks and predictions.
About the only people excited to follow this matchup of non-playoff teams would be fans of either the Raiders or Saints and NFL bettors.
The Raiders mercifully ended a 10-game losing streak by defeating the also-as-bad Jacksonville Jaguars 19-14 in Week 16. Las Vegas covered as a 2.5-point favorite as the Under (41.5) came in.
New Orleans, meanwhile, has lost 3 of its last 4 games, punctuated by a 34-0 defeat on Monday Night Football at the Green Bay Packers. The Saints were 14-point underdogs and the Under (43.5) cashed.
The difference in this Week 17 matchup could rest upon whether top Saints WR Chris Olave (head) returns from concussion recovery. Rookie QB Spencer Rattler will start again with QB Derek Carr (arm) out.

Raiders at Saints picks and predictions
Prediction
Saints 20, Raiders 17
Moneyline
Backing the Saints (+100) without Kamara and Carr seems like a poor idea, but the Raiders aren’t exactly a juggernaut with QB Aidan O’Connell under center.
Rattler having Olave active would make this recommendation stronger, but the home team getting plus-money (it’s right on the border but still counts) guides us toward value chasing.
FanDuel Sportsbook offers more value on the New Orleans moneyline. So, if you have access, BET SAINTS (+106) at FanDuel. Otherwise, BET SAINTS (+100) at BetMGM.
Against the spread
Let’s not completely override the possibility that this slog will end in a tie, but when it’s plus-money to back the Saints ML, we should find little reason to bet +1 (-110).
PASS. Find an alternate line for a sprinkle bet that would give you Saints -1 or better for positive juice.
Over/Under
WR Davante Adams and TE Brock Bowers give Las Vegas 2 elite weapons who could certainly help carry the total, but getting them the ball will be a tough story.
Rattler and O’Connell are major reasons why we’re going to fade the scoring, though this prediction says they’ll nearly settle on the total itself.
BET UNDER 37.5 (-110).
