In the 2nd week of the preseason, the Las Vegas Raiders (1-0) will be in Inglewood, Calif., to take on the Los Angeles Rams (0-1). Kickoff from SoFi Stadium will be at 9 p.m. ET. Below, we analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s (OR FanDuel Sportsbook’s) lines around the Raiders vs. Rams odds, and make our expert NFL picks and predictions.
The Raiders steamrolled the San Francisco 49ers 34-7 in their preseason opener, thanks to a strong performance by rookie QB Aidan O’Connell. He outplayed QB Trey Lance, throwing for 141 yards and a TD on 18 attempts. RB Zamir White led the team with 43 yards rushing and a TD.
The Rams were crushed 34-17 by the Los Angeles Chargers in their first preseason game at SoFi Stadium. Rookie QB Stetson Bennett played most of the game, throwing for 191 yards and a TD with no turnovers – a good start by the former 2-time national champion at Georgia.

Raiders at Rams picks and predictions
Prediction
Raiders 24, Rams 17
Moneyline
The Rams aren’t going to play many of their starters – certainly not their top guys like WR Cooper Kupp, DT Aaron Donald or QB Matthew Stafford. On paper, the Raiders’ backups are better than the Rams’, who currently have the most rookies of any team in the NFL (36).
I don’t think I’ll ever be willing to lay a bet on a team at -175 in the preseason, but I like the Raiders to win. I would just PASS on the ML.
Against the spread
The Raiders looked really good in the preseason opener, particularly the play of O’Connell. He could get most of the snaps again this week, which could give Las Vegas the edge on offense against an inexperienced and underwhelming Rams defense.
After seeing the way the Raiders played on offense last week, I’m willing to lay the points. BET RAIDERS -3.5 (-110) to cover.

Over/Under
The total went Over in both the Rams’ and Raiders’ first preseason game, with 1 team in each contest putting up 34 points. Though the Raiders’ defense was impressive against the 49ers, especially given the quarterbacks San Francisco sent out, there could be a regression this week.
And the Rams defense could struggle against O’Connell if he plays the way he did last week. BET OVER 39.5 (-110).
