Larry Fitzgerald makes NFL Top 100 for 10th straight year

He comes in at No. 69 overall. That’s nice.

Arizona Cardinals receiver Larry Fitzgerald continues to garner the utmost respect from his player peers. For the 10th straight year, he is on the NFL Top 100 Players, as voted by players in the NFL.

After his 16th season, he comes in at No. 69.

It is the lowest he has been ranked since the rankings began in 2010, but the fact he still makes the list after a season in which he failed to reach 1,000 yards for the second straight year tells us everything you need to know.

He has reached legact status.

His 75 catches for 804 yards are nothing spectacular but he showed early on he still can make big plays when his team needs him.

He did not drop a pass in 2019 and, as has been cited many times, he has more tackles in his career than drops.

Former teammate and current Baltimore Ravens defensive lineman Calais Campbell said, “Larry Fitzgerald is the best route runner in the business.”

He noted Fitzgerald is still incredibly athletic (his workouts are very tough — Campbell has tried them). He is still productive.

He will return for his 17th season in 2020. He is 171 receptions away from Jerry Rice’s all-time record for career catches.

He will have to share targets in 2020 with DeAndre Hopkins and Christian Kirk. He might not have another 1,000-yard season in him but if he comes back in 2021, he undoubtedly will be back on this list again.
