Lane Kiffin discusses Ole Miss being Tennessee’s ‘first sellout in years’

Lane Kiffin discusses Ole Miss being Tennessee’s first sellout in years at Neyland Stadium.

Tennessee (4-2, 2-1 SEC) will host No. 14 Ole Miss (4-1, 1-1 SEC) and head coach Lane Kiffin on Saturday at Neyland Stadium in Week 7.

Kickoff is slated for 7:30 p.m. EDT and SEC Network will televise the matchup.

Kiffin served as Tennessee’s head coach in 2009, guiding the Vols to a 7-6 record. He departed Tennessee following the 2009 season to become USC’s head coach.

Ahead of Kiffin’s return to Neyland Stadium as a head coach, he met with media and discussed the challenges competing against Tennessee and Josh Heupel’s team.

“We have a lot of work to do,” Kiffin said. “Getting ready for a challenging place to play.

“Someone said on the way in, I am scheduled to be their first sellout in years, so very loud place, especially at night and a team that is playing extremely well. Two conference blowouts in a row and lighting it up on offense, so it’s going to be extremely challenging.”
