Former Oklahoma quarterback Landry Jones suffered a lower-body injury late in the fourth quarter against Houston as he was driving Dallas down the field with less than three minutes to play.

Clearly in pain, Jones left the field and was shown with a heavy wrap around his left knee, the knee he already wears a brace on.

An emotional Jones was shown on the sideline in tears being consoled by teammates and coaches as the Renegades turned the ball over inside the Roughnecks five-yard line.

The first matchup between the two Texas XFL teams was not a good showing for Jones. With three interceptions early, Jones composed himself to bring the Renegades to within a possession when he suffered his injury.

Jones was 25-for-38 (66%) for 205 yards and a touchdown aside from his three turnovers.

Missing Dallas’ season opener due to an injury suffered in the offseason, Jones was under center for the Renegades in Week 2 and Week 3, winning both games for Dallas, bringing them to 2-1 coming into Week 4.

It is undetermined how long Jones will be out but by his reaction, it seems as though his season could be over.
