Bob and his old gunslinger are a win away from a streak.
Former Oklahoma head coach Bob Stoops, Landry Jones and the Dallas Renegades have now won two-straight after taking down the Seattle Dragons 24-12 Saturday afternoon.
It was another inconsistently consistent day for Jones. The former Sooner got off to a good start, then late in the second-quarter, he threw interceptions back-to-back drives. Jones would get going in the second half, though, throwing no interceptions and put together two touchdown drives, as well as two more drives resulting in field goals to overcome a 12-6 halftime deficit.
Jones finished with 274 passing yards and three touchdown passes on 30-of-41 passing, good for a 73 percent completion percentage.
Former Oklahoma wide receiver Jeff Badet had another slow day with only two catches for four yards. Frank Alexander finished with four tackles and a pass breakup.
Stoops, Jones and the Dallas Renegades won their first game 25-18 last Sunday against the Los Angeles Wildcats. They are now 2-1 on the season and in sole possession of second place in the West division.
Dallas will return next week as the Renegades host XFL’s No. 1 team, the Houston Roughnecks, at 3 p.m. CT on Sunday on Fox Sports One.
