LaMelo Ball will get the first start of his NBA career on Monday as he steps into the starting lineup in place of Terry Rozier, the Hornets announced pregame. Rozier will be out on Monday with an ankle injury that he suffered at the end of the first half on Saturday against the Bucks.

Against Milwaukee, Ball started in Rozier’s place in the second half and did not miss a beat. In the second half on Saturday, Ball tallied 18 points, three rebounds and three assists while going 5-of-7 from the field and 7-of-7 from the line in 19 minutes.

Ball will start alongside Devonte’ Graham, Gordon Hayward, P.J. Washington and Cody Zeller. Prior to Saturday, that five-man lineup had not played together this season. In seven minutes, they finished with a net rating of +42.7.
