Jackson had his best stretch of play this season in December, throwing for 11 touchdowns and 1,060 yards while adding another 247 rushing yards. Jackson skyrocketed to become the overwhelming favorite of the MVP race with big-time performances against the San Francisco 49ers and Miami Dolphins in back-to-back weeks to close out his season. This would be the second MVP award of Jackson’s sixth-year career in the NFL, putting him in a rare list of legendary players to do so.
Jackson’s best game of the season came against the Miami Dolphins in Week 17 when he completed 18 of 21 passes for 321 yards and five touchdowns to finish with the third perfect passer rating of his career and his second against the Dolphins after doing so in Week 1 of the 2019 season — the last time Jackson won MVP.
Jackson and the Ravens are gearing up for a postseason run to the Super Bowl following their bye week as the AFC’s No. 1 seed.
