Game 5 of the first round of the Western Conference playoffs will resume this weekend after it was initially postponed on Wednesday due to the player’s strike led by the Milwaukee Bucks. The NBA officially announced the new schedule for the games, with Wednesday’s three games being pushed to Saturday, including the Los Angeles Lakers vs. Portland Trail Blazers.
The Lakers are up 3-1 in the best-of-seven series and have the opportunity to close out the Blazers, Saturday night at 6 p.m. Pacific/9 p.m. Eastern time. The game will be televised on TNT, but will also be shown locally in both the Los Angeles area and the Pacific Northwest.
Game 5 of the Bucks-Magic series, which was what kicked off the NBA strike on Wednesday, will be the first game of the day on Saturday, followed by a pivotal Game 5 between the Houston Rockets and the Oklahoma City Thunder. The Blazers are without Damian Lillard, who left the bubble to undergo a further examination of his injured right knee.
