Lakers vs. Spurs: Prediction, point spread, odds, over/under, betting picks

Our best bets and prediction for Thursday’s game between the Lakers and Spurs, with odds via @Tipico Sportsbook.

The Los Angeles Lakers play the San Antonio Spurs on Thursday, and if you’re looking to do some last-minute betting research, you’re in luck! We’ll give you the latest point spread, money line odds and over-under number, as well as the information you’ll need to make the smartest bet at Tipico Sportsbook.

The game tips off at 7:30 p.m. PT and can be seen on Spectrum SportsNet.

Los Angeles (16-16) has lost three games in a row, and there haven’t been many positives since Anthony Davis went down with an MCL sprain. LeBron James has carried the load, scoring 30 points in eight of his last 12 games. He’ll need more help from his teammates in order to get back in the win column.

San Antonio (12-18) has won one game in a row and is 5-5 in the last 10 contests, a much better pace than how it started the regular season. Though the Spurs don’t have strong depth in the frontcourt, Dejounte Murray and Derrick White have stepped it up in the backcourt to provide reliable scoring options.

The Lakers won both matchups so far this season, even without LeBron in both. However, this time L.A. won’t have Davis to battle down low.

Spurs at Lakers notable injuries:

Lakers: OUT – Anthony Davis, Kendrick Nunn (knee); Kent Bazemore, Avery Bradley, Malik Monk, Austin Reaves (all health and safety protocol); Probable – LeBron James (abdominal), Trevor Ariza (ankle)

Spurs: OUT – Zach Collins (ankle), Joshua Primo (G League assignment)

Advice and prediction

This is predicted to be an extremely close, high-scoring affair. Both teams are tied at No. 9 in the league in points per game (109.8), but for the Lakers, a huge part of that is out in Davis. The Lakers usually have the frontcourt advantage between Davis and Jakob Poeltl, but James has been involved more at center, which could be the case again today even if Dwight Howard is available.

Take the Lakers minus-1.5, Lakers minus-125 and the under 223.5 to stop the losing streak.

Prediction: Lakers 111, Spurs 106
