The Los Angeles Lakers are coming off a road loss for the first time this season but it’s probably for the best, even for a veteran team, to be back on the court as soon as possible. The Lakers get a chance on Thursday night as they play on the second night of a back-to-back against the Detroit Pistons.
It’s quite a drastic change from playing against the Sixers, who are the best team in the Eastern Conference, to facing the Pistons who enter with the second-worst record in the East. But while the Pistons are primed to be one of the worst teams in the league, they’ve racked up a couple of home wins.
As far as the defensive game plan for the Lakers, the main guy for the Pistons is free agent Jerami Grant. Grant is having a career season in a starring role for Detroit, while former stars Derrick Rose and Blake Griffin offer support. Griffin missed the last game for the Pistons, last night in Cleveland, but is expected to play tonight.
Here’s when you should tune in to see the game:
- Date: Jan. 28

- TV Channel: Fox Sports Detroit, Spectrum SportsNet, NBA League Pass
- Spread via BetMGM: Lakers -9.5
