Anthony Davis may have had just the type of performance he needs to break out of his early-season statistical lull on Saturday night as the Lakers built a huge lead on the Bulls and cruised to a 101-90 win on the road in Chicago.
Davis led the way with 37 points in his hometown, his best scoring night of the season by a wide margin. Davis’ number have been down in 2021 and came into this game having not reached the 20-point mark in any of his previous five games, and proceeded to post his first 30-point performance of the season – much to the delight of his teammates.
The Lakers held the Bulls to just 33 points in the first half, and even though Chicago dominated the second half – outscoring the Lakers by 19 points – the defending champs still eased to a double-digit victory.
Here are the highlights from Saturday’s game. The Lakers’ road trip will continue with a game in Cleveland on Monday.
