One of the biggest public complaints from NBA players over the past few months of discussion about the league’s restart at Walt Disney World is how quickly they will have to go from training camp to games that will be highly competitive and carry a lot of weight for the remainder of the season. But in addition to training camp, the league is also organizing scrimmages between teams they won’t be facing in their 8 seeding games. On Saturday, the league released the scrimmage schedule.
LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers will scrimmage against Luka Doncic and the Dallas Mavericks on July 23, less than three weeks from Saturday. After that, the Lakers will face the Orlando Magic on July 25 and the Wizards on the 27th.

The daily amount of positive COVID-19 cases in Florida are continuing to rise, with more than 11,000 being recorded in the latest testing.
However, little has changed with the NBA and its belief in its protocols. Teams have already started training camps at their respective facilities and are expected to travel to Disney World to continue training next week.
