Lakers to rest LeBron, AD and Kuzma in final scrimmage

The Los Angeles Lakers will be giving a lot of run to their younger players in Monday’s scrimmage against the Wizards.

As the Los Angeles Lakers take the court for their final of three scrimmages they will be without several of their key players, including LeBron James and Anthony Davis, as they take on the Washington Wizards this afternoon.

Lakers head coach Frank Vogel told reporters prior to the game that Kyle Kuzma and Dwight Howard will also sit out, joining the two Lakers stars in sitting out the final dress rehearsal before the Lakers start their seeding game schedule, beginning on Thursday against the Los Angeles Clippers. Obviously, the Lakers will have more run for their reserves, such as Dion Waiters and J.R. Smith.

In addition to the Lakers more high-profile reserves who will see extended minutes today, they will also see some more minutes for their younger players, such as two-way players Davontae Cacok and Kostas Antetokounmpo, as well as rookie guard Talen Horton-Tucker. The Lakers are 1-1 in their scrimmage games so far.
