It may have been a frustrating week for the Los Angeles Lakers, who have won two games and lost two since March 5, but it has been a spectacular week for one LeBron James.
First, last Saturday he went on a scoring spree with 56 points to help L.A. overcome a sizable deficit and defeat the Golden State Warriors.
Then, on Wednesday, he tallied a triple-double against the Houston Rockets. Yeah, he does that sometimes.
But then on Friday against the Washington Wizards, the 37-year-old amazed the basketball world once again by putting up 50 points on 18-of-25 shooting from the field and 6-of-9 from 3-point range in a 122-109 win.
It was a phenomenal three-game run that only one other player has ever pulled off before, and that player happened to be the most prolific stat stuffer in basketball history.

✅ 23 PTS, 14 REB, 12 AST

If James hadn’t missed Monday’s contest against the San Antonio Spurs due to left knee soreness, perhaps the past week would’ve been even more ridiculous for him.
With L.A. clinging to the ninth spot in the Western Conference, it has needed every single drop of the massive flood James has brought.
The Lakers will need more of the same on Sunday, as they will face the first-place Phoenix Suns on the road.
